UPDATE: The developer has withdrawn plans from the City of Duluth's Planning Commission for the Taco Bell location planned for Grand Avenue. It is unclear at the moment if the project will move forward at a later date, however Taco Bell is still actively looking for a suitable site for a West Duluth location.
Lovers of Taco Bell we have good news.
Next year you will have another location to satisfy those intense cravings at any hour of the day. Marvin Development IV, LLC will submit plans at the January 12th Duluth Planning Commission meeting for a new Taco Bell to be constructed on Grand Avenue in West Duluth.
The new freestanding building would be constructed on two plots, 4216 Grand Avenue which currently has a single family home and 4218 Grand Avenue which currently is home to a commercial building. It would be located directly next to Essentia Health's West Duluth Clinic and across from Kwik Trip.
The new 2,170 square foot building will have a dining area with 40 seats and will feature the newest prototype design. The site will also feature a drive thru along with 24 parking spaces. This will be Taco Bell's second Duluth location. The Central Entrance location at the Stone Ridge Shopping Center has been open for nearly 20 years and was renovated last year.
If the project is approved by the Duluth Planning Commission construction would likely begin this Spring with a completion in late Summer.
